What’s it like to earn a degree online?

Get to know your online learning classroom

Our online classes take place in Blackboard®, a learning management system that supports learning on your schedule in a virtual classroom. You’ll have access to all your course content, weekly assignments and a calendar with key due dates. You’ll also have a dedicated place for discussion about course topics with your faculty member and peers. Need extra support? Reach out to your instructor directly with questions.

Your schedule may vary. Our online classroom is mostly asynchronous. Asynchronous means you’re not typically required to attend a lecture at a specific time and date. You can navigate through weekly modules on your schedule, but you must still adhere to designated deadlines.

Our “secret sauce” for our online degree programs is our faculty. As professionals and leading practitioners in their fields, they bring an average of 28.8 years of professional experience into the classroom. Their real-world experience allows them to translate theory into practical examples, often from their own workplaces, so you can put what you learn into practice right away.

You’ll need regular access to a laptop or desktop computer. Mobile devices will not be sufficient to complete your online degree program. Your course assignments will require a computer to complete and submit them.

Think you’ll need to physically go to a library for your courses? Think again. Access our digital library 24/7 with support from our librarians. You can peruse 115 licensed scholarly and trade research databases, more than 200,000 scholarly journals and periodicals, and more than 270,000 general interest e-books from your home.

Your life doesn’t stop when you’re attending school. That’s why you have a support team of real people you can lean on. Because we know you’re busy, we also offer a range of on-demand resources like tutorials, videos and more.
